The Answers You Need
WHAT PARTS CAN BE DONE?
Only steel parts can be done, internal or external.

Internal parts such as gears, shafts, shift drums, dogs, pinions, forks, cranks*, cams*, rods, etc.

External parts such as sprockets, springs, hubs, headlight buckets, brackets, levers, etc. It's perfect for chroming/plating preparation.

Parts can be done for performance benefits or preparation for additional surface treatments.

Internal parts are returned coated in oil ready for install.

External parts need further treatment to ensure they don't rust, for example chroming, nickel or zinc plating.

*Cranks and cams up to V8's size can be done.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Parts are first vapour blasted to ensure they are thoroughly degreased, then any critical surfaces are masked off with a special tape to ensure they're not over-polished.

It's a two stage process carried out in a vibratory trough with high density ceramic chips.

A reactive chemistry is used in the vibratory trough in conjunction with the media.

This chemistry produces a stable, soft conversion coating across the asperities (peaks and valleys) of the components.

The rubbing motion across the components developed by the machine and media effectively wipes soft conversion coating off the ‘peaks’ of the parts surfaces, thereby removing a micro-layer of metal.

After this process is complete, the conversion coating is wiped off one final time using a neutral soap to produce a mirror like surface.
